I'm in doubts. How about Bill's Hat painted White? Name your price.
I'll be straight with you. I could get 10 keys max for a Bills w/ White Paint. By selling those 10 keys at $1.36 each puts me at 13.60, which is less than the value I would have to pay for the game. I could do it for 12 keys, which I will sell at $1.36. That gives me a profit of a whopping $1.33 for my time involved. Sound reasonable?

12 keys x $1.36 ends up with $16.32. The reason why I wanted to get it here is that I wanted to trade my white Bill's Hat (which price is ~$14) for this game. If I wanted to pay cash for this game, I'd have simply bought it on GameStop or GameFly for $14.99.
So no, thank you.

Okay, so I completely misunderstood your motive. That's cool. Yeah man, I'm not sure what pricing guide you're using, but I can't really do much trading below the value that the game is actually worth. You're right, 12 keys is $16.32. Subtract the $14.99 that I would have to pay for the game and I'd make a profit of $1.33. If I took the bills and sold it for 10 keys, I'd end up in the hole.

Perhaps you could enlighten me on how I could understand your rationale? If there is something I'm missing, I'd love to learn if you will take the time to inform me.

Nah, I completely understand you. You are trying to make a profit, I'm trying to save some money :D - as simple as that. Some people are getting those games as gifts - that's why they sell it cheaper than retail price. I thought that this is how you are getting all your games. But it looks like you are buying them to trade for TF2 items...
So everything is cool :D

Oooooooh! Yeah, I can see where you might think that. Most people probably don't purchase the games as Steam gifts. I stocked up during the Summer sale. Well, if there ever comes a game that I have and you fancy it, let me know. We could probably work something out, man. :)

For sure :D
