Windows Vista is so bad I'm genuinely not sure if Mac is better.

Also....Android is a PC operating system? Dafuq? Or is this phones/tablets + PCs?

Idiots. They spread FUD about Windows 8 because it could harm their income. Make a Steam client for Metro? No, let's just say stupid shit and hope people believe it.

Lies like this make me want to stab those two.
I wouldn't use a stream client based around the metro interface because its so over simplistic. The article points that microsoft's execution for games sucks so its natural that game companies should feel frustrated that MS is belligerently doing something they know they can do better as MS is only doing this for increased profit income but overall harming PC gaming.

I had been running Vista for 2 years with no issues whatsoever. There are still a lot of users who are running Vista.
Personally don't like auto-restart for updates when playing games and the fact that the OS thinks I'm retarded by asking me whether I really want to open Steam, it might contain dangerous viruses after all. Obviously.

OS thinks that 80% of users are retarded and it is absolutely correct. People install multiple shits on their PCs and laptops (such as toolbars, agents, and so on) without having a slightest idea about what they are doing. It's called "idiot proof".

Yeah, exactly, it's idiot proof, it's designed with casual people in mind. Windows 8 is also designed with the casual crowd in mind. So far I can't really see companies nor gamers (well, a lot of gamers at least) using this OS because it's designed with casuals in mind. I guess I'm a bit quick with saying Windows 8 isn't going to be worth it but... it really doesn't feel like Windows to me, and that's a negative comment.

Most of the people ranting about Windows 8 can't get it through their thick heads that you can still use the desktop, and Metro is a great addon.

You know what isn't a great addition, the removal of the start button. Also, do elaborate how Metro is a great addon for any serious purposes.

Metro completely replaces the start button. It doesn't make it harder to do anything, in fact it makes it easier for some things. Metro isn't meant for "serious purposes" like developing in. It's not meant for you or me. It's meant for the 80% of users who don't know shit about computers and bigfoot. It's good design.

I found the Metro system to be more clunky. How to search on earlier Windows versions: Click Start button, the Search bar is instantly marked so you can just click the Start button and type. For W8 you have to pull your mouse to one of the corners on the right side of the screen, pull your mouse over to the Search function which can be a pain in the ass if you're doing sweeping moves and accidently sweep away the right-side bar, then click the Search function and then type. I would've liked it if there simply was a search bar on the bottom of the Metro screen, that would've been more effective and it would've still looked good.

As for casual users, I don't think that's a great market, because casual users will just use whatever OS they're comfortable with. The only casuals who'll get these computers are the ones that buys an entirely new one in the future when computer manufactorers have started putting W8 on their computers. It doesn't feel like a winner OS to me.

Casual users are the market for Windows 8. The search on Windows 8 is much better. Everything is organized and presented in groups and the search is speedy and you can even search in apps.

Everyone eventually will upgrade to a version of Windows running Metro. Especially casual users, usually through new computers. Metro isn't going away.

By the time that happens I'm going to switch to Linux. I'm not comfortable with a smartphone layout for my computer.

You see, people who complain don't understand that you can still use the desktop for almost everything.
