I recently acquired four buds selling a Stormy Storm Ze Goggles. A fine gentleman by the name of Steeeeezy offered a OF Company Man for it. I was going to trade with him, but he dozed off. While he was offline, I received an offer from a man named ice of a Stormy Storm Buckaroo's, an Orbiting Planets VR Headset, and a steaming pencil pusher. Now, I would've done that trade in an instant, but my first concern was that they were either duped or something else was funky about his offer, so I decided to think on it. I don't know what to do, I've always wanted an Orbiting Fire all class. I need an oldfag's advice. I've only been doing this for about a month and a half now.
 
K, but there's one problem with Steeeeezy. He lended the CM to his friend, so it's not in his bp as of this post.
 
The hats in Ice's BP are clean. Do your research and see if they add up to the 4 buds your going to let rip.

4 buds you can get a very nice hat. I'd put up a post on outpost wanting offers.

Frequent unusual traders will tell you that dupes are no different than any other hat. Reason....they get low-balled by the community and that cuts into their profits. So an unusual trader will say it looks the same and acts the same. No issue.

I made the analogy once on an unusual trade server that for a few of us its like an original comic book. Would you want Action Comics #1 from 1938 or a reprint just off the press?
 
Yeah, most people will refuse to pay full price for duped items and some will even withdraw out of the trade altogether once they realize the truth. I don't know about duped unusuals, though.
 
When I did some investigation on the OP, I found that they all went for 2-3 buds. Steeeezy wasn't going to get online anyway, so I just took the offer. Ice and I are best friends forever now. Thread can now be closed.
 
"Lying about current offers." .milk banned me. It was utterly unfair, because on my trade it clearly said B/O, not C/O. OP mods are just power hungry morons. And what's even more ridiculous is that they didn't even ban me for a week or something to warn me; he just permabanned me. And he also made wild claims, contradicting my entire appeal. I guess the faggot was mad that day.
 
tf2pricecheck is the biggest bullshit ever.

Where else would you want new players to get an idea about their hats worth? Again, you need to do your homework but every site you go to in regards to unusual hats is a sliding scale of bullshit. Not having any sites for reference every new player would get sharked out of their unbox in less than a month.
