So I was just curious if any members here have any non stock car audio? Or I guess more some of you if you even own a car or old enough to drive...
But here is what I have:

2 12in Alpine type R 2012 my 2011 went out on me and they were still under warranty so they just sent me new ones.

This is my 1000w Alpine X-power sometimes I like to put my hand on it after driving to feel how hot it gets.

This is the CD deck it is a Dual as you can see.

All my door speakers are stock and this all cost me to much but if I did have the money I would have gone for the Alpine type X.

Yea I know a lot of people that have to get rid of their systems because they get a different vehicle. My system is sitting in a 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback and since it is a hatchback I didn't have to worry about taking out the back seats like I see some people do.

I use to own a car audio shop back in 2000, worked well until 2004 then all the big names like Future Shop ad the such we're doing free installs if they bought it from then. Did a lot of custom stuff also. Amp in a fish tank on the side windows of a Ford Ranger was y toughest. Also had a demo vehicle for Pioneer and Cerwin Vega and Orion. Here is some of my work.

So do you still run the shop or did you mean sells are not going well anymore? I bet it was an interesting job seeing the different types of people with the money to blow on this stuff.

No i had a shop back long ago, sold it after a lot of big places would offer deals to install the equipment if they bought it there. And the car audio market dried up and a lot of big names died out. Yeah one of my demo vehicles totaled out at $33000. But i never paid a cent for the equipment LOL

In the Uk, there is an additional premium on your car insurance if you are under 21 and have an amplifier and extra speakers installed.

If u want it covered u gotta tell them u have it..if it gets stolen too bad you didn't tell us.
The additional is geared around safety "less experienced drivers are more easily distracted by a tumpin bass" (thats what they say, dont shoot the messenger)
