Admin Experience: None for TF2 (HL1, TFC, UT from way back in the day)

Additional Information: Let's see, I'm in my late 30's and I've been gaming for oh...almost 30 years. (yeah I'm middle age) I work a full-time job from 8-5 M-R CDT and occasionally teach an evening class at the local state college. (usually T/R 5-7p CDT)

I'm on this server all the time. Some may say too much as I tend to idle on it a lot. It's because I have to duck out unexpectedly due to marital responsibilities. My wife doesn't like TF2 as much as I do.

Many on the server know who I am and I've added numerous friends from this server.

I'm a big believer in making the game fun for everyone. I give away gear to people all the time and just last week I dumped a pile of gifts on the server. I'm also a donor and have been for almost a year...I think. I don't get mad and try to keep the peace as best I can, esp if things get heated.

I feel that my age/experience as well as my ability to make prudent and appropriate decisions regarding the health of the server and the player's experiences.

I also have the full version of FRAPS to take HD video and plenty of TBs to store them should they be needed.

This was prompted by the poor sportsmanship on the server today to put in my application because with my limited time to play I want the experience to be one that we can all enjoy, whether you play for an hour or a day.

not a bad guy.
 
I don't know much of this guy, but honestly - US22 direly needs an admin regular, so +/-0 atm until I know more of him.

Edit:
You do know however that poor sportsmanship isn't an actionable offense however? People are going to be dicks no matter what...unless it gets extreme - so that's the only thing that has me a little hesitant to give you a definitive +1.
 
+1 from US22 regular. I see highlandre on 2fort all the time (well, 20 days of playtime speak on its own) and I fucking hate when he plays demoman for the opposite team.
But when he plays engie - it's a joy cause he sucks :D
Also he never reacted to my "you're fucking pussy" attacks when he was/is camping on his base being a demoman which proves he is a pretty thick-skinned fella.

Anyhow, solid +1 here.

Absolutely. I was just speaking to the fact that I want to help keep the game/server fun for all and being a dick and being an exploiter/griefer are quite different.

I hope to never have to use any tools, sometimes just having an admin on the server is enough to deter behaviour. Either way, Ruelel isn't on there as much as he used to be and so it's been sparse in that area for a while.

I know -of- him, not really him, I see him in spec a lot, don't see him play all that often. I don't know him enough that I'm comfortable giving him my vouch just yet, I'll go out of my way to play with him some.

Yeah, its one of the main reasons I'm holding off my vouch, it's kind of a bullshit reason, but I hold courtesy pretty high, if I'm going to be AFK for a particularly long time it isn't fair for me to take up a slot from someone who wants to play, and at times the wait to get into US 22 is upwards of 10 minutes.

The age thing is a plus, the actual playtime I wish I could know more, just not to come off an asshole, I think there's more capable US22 apps.

You don't sound like an ass at all. It's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Never apologize. I hope that we do get some more admins. As for the AFK, I'll do what I can. As a married guy with a wife who holds great disdain for my "hobby," I'm sometimes forced to A-Tab to avert her prying eyes and then get pulled away for hours at a time. I will admit though that in the earlier days of the /ap system I would join, play for a bit and then afk to get the points. Shitty move I totally admit but the perks were something I felt a donor should have, and thus justified it to myself as such. I know I'd pay more than the $5/mo to get all the perks. I have a good job and don't mind paying to support my hobby but I don't have the time to dedicate to playing like some others do.

I could go in to all sorts of other wonderful things that I've been going thru and how playing here is a great therapy for me. I really enjoy the community on your servers and I wanted to give back more. Starting with reducing the AFKing

And without trying to slip to much of a suggestion in:
What if it was such that there is an AFK kick for donors. We can join whenever we want so that perk us unlimited access so infinite AFK seems redundant, at least in the truest sense.

He used to be idle in US22 all the time (8-9 hours afk) - the wait to get in the server on popular days is anywhere from 10-15 mins, so we were yelling at him for that. I think he meant he will reduce the amount of time he personally spends AFK in the server ;D
