I want suggestions on anime/manga to watch/read

Agreed! i watched most of it on adult swim, and loved it!

Darker than Black (anime/manga)
Baccano! (anime)
Deadman Wonderland (manga)
The breaker (manga)
Liar Game (manga)

more i may be forgetting/ cant think of (gaming has distracted me from being up to date in all my series/ watching).

You should try out the Persona 3 and Persona 4 manga. Even if you haven't played the games you'd probably enjoy it. There's even an anime and an upcoming movie I think.
 
Trinity Blood, Vampire Hunter D, Samurai 7, Basilisk, Escaflowne, Evangelion. Just a few I could think of off the top of my head.
