Declined Remove Unmoderated Forum

It was created to curtail certain types of forum drama, but it has epically failed to do so. In fact the creation of this forum has only caused more drama, bad blood and all types of abuses that should not be tolerated, but are due to "lack of moderation". It also seems to be an excuse for certain despotic admins to quash spontaneity in other threads by threatening disciplinary action if said spontaneity is not redirected to said forum, which can only be described as a minefield of trolls and cyberbullies.

Such a place is not needed here.

Seriously... The spontaneity you speak of is trolling, flaming, and dramawhoring. If you want to get banned, sure, do that outside of the Unmoderated section. Most forums don't have such a section, so you're lucky that you have a place that you are allowed to do such things.

Honestly, I'd rather do without such things to begin with and have everybody be civil human beings instead of raging assholes... But it is what it is and it's my job to keep it in check.

I'm not talking about trolling or flaming. But when an admin threatens me with disciplinary action for leading a thread astray? Sorry, if I feel just a bit like he's pushing me around. And you should know that I am not a person that goes around attacking people, if anyone knew more than the half story(if that) they got from Scrambles "video", then they might not be so reactionary towards me.

Leading a thread astray (or derailing) is against the rules. Sorry, but if you do that you'll receive disciplinary action.

You can do that in unmoderated because nobody there cares. That's why you were told to take it there.

It doesn't matter what your reasoning is, but this is a gaming community. GAMING. It's online. You let things get to you that don't require any reaction at all or at most a good laugh. Instead you go screaming profanity, racism, and threaten real-life violence against a person in a gaming community. It really doesn't matter what the other side of the story is because it happened in an ONLINE community for GAMING.

Actualy it gives you an indication as to the true colour of people, as they have no restrictions (or little to none).
 
Yanno, I was chatting up an admin back before the no derailing rule first got put up, mostly to make myself feel better about taco. He saw what you were saying then and he was all "I don't know if you know him, but the reason he's freaking out over this rule is because he always derails threads." and I was like "Really? This is him freaking out?" I think he lol'd at my nubbyness.

The unmoderated section has two obvious purposes.
1: Harmless bullshit fun. Yanno, two friends/acquaintances just bashing each other to no end for shats and gargles, as displayed here.
2: Then there's the endless pools of drama. Unmod is there to contain that and keep it away from the rest of the forum.
It fails in this regard, though. No matter the case, if there's drama then someone's being srsasfuck about it. What happens in unmod stays in unmod, but the sensitive feelings affected will remain affected elsewhere.
I'm not going to pretend to like anyone I don't like just because it's not in unmoderated.
It was fun for a while but I'm now in full support of it's removal. It's breaking more than it's fixing.
Good job, Herald. You weren't a faggot this time and earned some respect from me.

It just gives people reason to think they can start shit or post something stupid. That will obviously lead to even more drama that can and most likely seep outside Umoderated.

A father is responsible for his own child's stupidity. He was able to prevent it by properly raising his child but didn't. He enabled the stupidity, and so he is just as much a problem as his failure of a child.
An unmoderated section not only enables but encourages the drama it was created to avoid. If anything, it ought to be replaced by the old NSFW section so gore and porn and all that shit still has a proper place.

Not really. Just pointing out it was stupid to start with as an example. And no worries. Not gonna try to start anything with you. I'd rather just walk away from something pointless.
 
Pretty sure you guys need to learn to grow up and relax. Getting rid of a forum section isn't going to do anything but make being passive aggressive even more of a delicate game than it was before.
