Also, George Washington was rarely in field combat. He was a brilliant general, but spend most of his time camped out father away from combat (Valley Forge, "Bunker Hill") or simply directed other military leaders to do things (Saratoga and Yorktown, both major victories that he was nowhere near).
The invention list is impressive, and is missing quite a few things. And has some odd things.

1st. GJ. You've obviously proven something there.
2nd. Nothing to say. Basically true.
3rd. You lost a war that was fought for 6 years in little over a month. We lost to soviet supported troops, who at the time where the only other superpower. Guess what France was doing at the time? o ya, being reconstructed by US dollars from a US aid program.

1st. Don't confuse most American's w/ rednecks who can't even locate America on a map.
2nd. I have never heard that.
3rd. That would be impracticable and lower the cultural value of what are the Pyramids of Egypt.
4th. Don't mistake most Americans for Republicans. I don't think that Iraq is free, or that we have somehow helped much except by removing Sadam Husain.
5th. a. Fair enough
b. It was sabotaged by the British WAY before it could be effective, so in reality we made the 1st operational atomic bomb, meaning we invented it, even if the idea wasn't ours.
c. Fair enough.
d. We landed the 1st person on a foreign body successfully, so I think we beat the Russians to anything that could be considered "travel" in space.
e. Sure, they made the 1st airplane. But then they stopped. We made the airplane effective and useful in society.
f. And now American movies are watched worldwide, and have been since right after WW2.
g. Again, Henry Ford made the automobile effective and useful via a combination of the assembly line and interchangeable parts.
h-k. Fair enough. Although the joint production of radio and telephone seems suspect.
6th-8th. A travesty, I agree. Still can't believe he was reelected, but hey, it happens sometimes.
9th. Considering our educational system is one of the worst in the developed world and we are represented by such people as Miss Carolina on TV, I can understand it perfectly why they think we're stupid. And I hope you understand why we think the French are a bunch of surrendering cowards. Isn't stereotyping grand?
I heard this section would probably much safer in unmoderated sometimes.
