Time Zone: Pacific Time Zone, Since it is summer and my Job is an on call style job (private computer consultant) Almost anytime I am available. I am normally always home after 4:00pm if I go out on a job at all that day. I am also normally playing on the server around that time as well. 4-4:30pm ish.

Admin Experience: I was about to be made an admin on Jupiter Gaming. But the lead admin suddenly died last year on May 3, 2011. The Jupiter Gaming server was then shut down. I had also quit playing for a year because of it. I was also a mod for a Starcraft 2 stream for a while before she stopped gaming because of college. As of right now, I am a mod for www.reddit.com/r/personofinterest (Simplexity) It is a pretty low key subreddit because the show is only on its first season. But we anticipate it blowing up when the second season starts because of how well the first season did.

Will you get mad if you lose admin: Ha no, it would be great if I was an admin. But I respect the wishes of the high up's to do with my power as they wish. I don't own the server. I am just volunteering seeing I don't see a lot of admins on the server I play. And when everyone try's to turn all talk on or off, it normally fails cause 4 out of 32 players didn't vote. So players then get mad. If I am an admin on the server, I will surely be playing even more.

Additional Information: I am 19 years old turning 20 at the end of June. My favorite hobby is learning believe it or not. I get in skype calls with friends and we game on the 2Fort server. I recently found the 2fort server (3-4 weeks ago) when I started playing the game again. I took a 1 year leave of the game. I have also gone by many names in the Steam world. Comrade Azrail, Simplexity, Admiral Marx, CynicMarx, Stein. Most of them had (R.I.P Dingo) at the end of the names in memory of his sudden passing last year. Was the Admin for the server I played on for a year. I am starting college this fall. I took all morning and online classes. So that is when I would normally be tied up. Until about 2:00. Then I will be home. Around the same time everyone else will be getting off of school and work and be joining in on the 2Fort Server. I am up to admin just about any server, even though 2fort is my most played map. I rarely play on others, but will if I have to.

Thank you for the option to apply. I will be honored to be an admin. But not disappointed if I am not selected. None the less, I am not going anywhere, anytime soon. So no matter what. I will still be playing on the 2Fort server.
 
I apologize in advice for any grammatical errors. I read over posts I do anywhere a few times just in case, but sometimes I just don't catch things.
 
Hello and welcome! To get admin you need to get some regulars from the servers you play on and know you come here vouch for you. I don't know how many people you know with little over 1 day though.

I never met you so I can't form an opinion (there will be enough people here soon who'll do so regardless), just trying to be informative.

I can get a couple people that I talk to on the server. I don't know if they have accounts on here though. There are quite a few trolls on that server. So as I guess I could ask people while I play. I would imagine that they will not care and just apply themselves. This is when they find out almost anyone can apply. And those people won't vouch for the other ones because they will be doing the same. It just seems like a constant circle of sad. I can surly ask though. Like I said, my numbers will seem low on the server because I just came back 3-4 weeks ago. But the number will grow. If I don't get admin now, I will just apply at a later date when I have spent more time on the sever. I am just applying now because of the trolls on the server. It doesn't seem anything is being done about it. I am not talking (some guy kills me. I get sad. I want to kick him. I am in no way abusive of power because I would be too nervous of losing the honor of being such a volenterr. I only do things if it is 100% justified) I am talking people who spam mic/chat while all talk is on and nobody can do anything about it because the plugin always says something like "not enough votes were place. 67/84" Or something around there. That number always seems high to me as well.
We also can never turn all talk on for that reason and that gets really annoying to a lot of players because we can't communicate freely without just using team type chat.

Wanting to watch over the servers for trolls and what not? Which in turn is also having the regulars leave because the vote system seems bugged and never kicks them or times them out? What is a good reason to become an admin in your case then? I am just always in the server and since I saw nobody else doing the job I figured heck, I'll see if I can. But please, tell me what I am doing wrong so I can fix it so we can get someone in this/ other servers.

2. I dunno if you know who is actually a regular.
3. You don't realize the vote system isn't bugged, the to pass numbers are just really high.
My primary concern with you is that you would make up reasons to ban people or to kick people or mute them or whatever.

Ah, well those are all understandable reasons. I guess I just have to spend even more time on here and prove you wrong. That am I not that type of person. If you read my entire thing, you would have also read that I would only kick and ban if it is justified. I am just trying to be helpful. Not greedy or power hungry. I am getting a hint that this has also happened in the past. Therefore your trust of new people has been greatly diminished.
 
If a vote fails because some people don't vote, but you suspect someone cheating/breaking the rules add an admin from the group to your friend list, they'll be happy to come to the server to deal with the problem. You don't need to become an admin yourself for that, much easier to keep on playing instead of bothering with spectating and recording a demo : )

Okay then. I will attempt to get someone in there when this does happen. After playing for so long. I didn't know when the transition was made from 1-2 admins always or really frequently on servers, to having to take time in adding admins and attempting to have them join in and take care of the problem. That's why I submitted an app. Cause I am in there often, and I figured it would be easier. But if this is how the community runs there admins. Then I guess thats fine. I just don't quiet understand the extra steps. Even if they are minor steps.
 
Yeah, admins on here are relatively fast at responding. If voting fails, just use the !report option, if he's blatant you'll more than likely get the two other votes required and an admin will come in here. Normally I make the report, go spectate and record a demo, then post demo in the report section to make the admin's life easier - but at the same rate it's not really necessary, as I said admins here are fast at reacting.
 
Welcome to Skial! it is great that you have admin background experience, but you are relatively new, and unless you know the regulars, i don't think only one day of playing experience on the server is relatively enough for a decent admin app (says the guy who is only about a month old on the forums). I as well have never met you, and couldn't vouch for you here. If you go back, get some more playing time under your belt, and are an enjoyable person to play with, as well as become friends with people around the community, you should have no problem re-submitting an admin app that looks good. If there are trolls on servers, as said above, get some current admins to come on, and they will most likely be happy to deal with people. Have fun playing on the servers, get some play time under your belt, and get to know people.
