could arena_granary be added into the map rotation? it's a good and popular map, not sure why it isn't in the map rotation (it being a stock map)

i'm also wondering why there isn't a plugin to move AFK's to spectator, usually AFK's take up limited class slots; and usually prolong fights because Hale's usually aren't clever enough to go to base first, griefers also won't kill the last AFK, all these problems could be remedied by just removing the AFK's to spectator (or kicked them, right now we have to rely on banning people for 30 minutes for being AFK, which is the lesser of two evils?)

also, i'm wondering if it's possible to have people with crappy pings not be able to Saxton Hale, i don't care much for laggers when they're on my team; but Hale's that jitter and teleport around 24/7 take a long time to kill, and are unpredictable and generally don't seem to know what they're doing (them being laggy and all).

that sounds awfully plural.

i don't see how dealing with one laggy person would hurt the server worse than make the entire server endure it, if people want to play hale: they could work towards a better ping, have the decency to not run torrents at the like, it's not hard and it's respectful towards other people on the server. as long as they aren't connecting from the opposite side of the world, their ping shouldn't be greater than 200.

This post is just fine. It was the posts about ratings before and AFTER my first warning that were the issue. It's a dead topic.

We have people with pings over 400 that play just fine, so using ping as the arbiter of lag may get people who are just fine and let some people with a low ping that are lagging through.

The thing you should consider is that ping spikes happen. My isp is bad. My isp at school was worse. I stayed around in skial when I first started playing tf2 because it was one of the only places that didn't kick me for having ping spikes. Put consistant 400 ping? Yeah that is a problem. Don't know how you could screen for that without kicking me when my internet derps :(

there are gadgets that deal with lagspikes, granting stackable "warnings" for every X amount of seconds a ping exceeds a certain number, lagspikes like that would be detected, but would not dealt with unless they consistently occur within a certain time frame.

it isn't so much that people with high ping would get kicked, they only lose their next turn as Hale.

400 sounds problematic, not fine. ping is probably the most common dictator for lag, when your entire team is playing against one person; lag becomes way more noticeable and irritating to play against.

i would love to see if anything fruitful comes out of that, besides: i've pointed him towards the Unmoderated section myself too (if i remember correctly, but apparently no dumb ratings are to be found there).
 
AFK manager on saxton is already on. I have lowered the time required. No to granary unless a lot of people want it.

Follow the suggestions rule next time.
