Declined vsh - arena_granary / afk/ping check?

could arena_granary be added into the map rotation? it's a good and popular map, not sure why it isn't in the map rotation (it being a stock map)

i'm also wondering why there isn't a plugin to move AFK's to spectator, usually AFK's take up limited class slots; and usually prolong fights because Hale's usually aren't clever enough to go to base first, griefers also won't kill the last AFK, all these problems could be remedied by just removing the AFK's to spectator (or kicked them, right now we have to rely on banning people for 30 minutes for being AFK, which is the lesser of two evils?)

also, i'm wondering if it's possible to have people with crappy pings not be able to Saxton Hale, i don't care much for laggers when they're on my team; but Hale's that jitter and teleport around 24/7 take a long time to kill, and are unpredictable and generally don't seem to know what they're doing (them being laggy and all).

The ping thing is something I think won't be implemented as it would probably cause people to leave the server if they don't get to be Hale and everyone likes a full server except for people trying to join it. Everything else sounds great.

and on the other side, how many people like playing against someone with 500 ping? i figure that more people would leave the server because another round is endlessly dragged on because the person in question is from Singapore, or is running torrents/downloads, excluding one privilege to one player might cause him/her to leave the server, but in the long run it's less harmful than making the rest of the server suffer.

and on the other side, how many people like playing against someone with 500 ping? i figure that more people would leave the server because another round is endlessly dragged on because the person in question is from Singapore, or is running torrents/downloads, excluding one privilege to one player might cause him/her to leave the server, but in the long run it's less harmful than making the rest of the server suffer.

but the votekick got removed in the first place due to abuse, so according to Bottiger; it's a double edged sword. and thus reintroducing the votekick will open up another can of worms, replacing the pro with more cons.

or alternatively, you can just make the server deal with the people that otherwise would need use of the votekick automatically, negating the abuse that comes alongside the votekick. i would also like to know what's dumb about my post, but i guess that's too much to ask for (as always).

what's glitchy about granary? sure it's a good map for engineers, but that's about it, good hales won't even give engineers a chance to build full sentry bases.

so it got removed because people are bad at the gamemode? i don't see how it's impossible to win, you can just rage the sentry nest (if sentry nests are on all three crates, just rage in the middle; it affects all of them) and then superjump up, super easy.

what i do is; kill engineers before they get to build anything, i don't see how reimplementing granary could do any harm, there are other maps that are really hard to win on as hale (mapes like dunger for instance are impossible to win, because everybody hides in the ventilation shafts, by the time you rage a bunch of heavies and crouch towards them; they'll just be able to use their guns again, granary isn't in that league of broken maps).

I don't want granary. Sure, any good Saxton can take the engys out, but the engys are just a waste of time and can get piss-loads of points without any effort whatsoever. However, I agree with the above statement: If granary is banned due to engys getting it too easy, then dunger should be removed too. In fact, just remove it because it's a bad map: Everyone hides in vents. Tbe only way to win as Saxton was to stand and wait on them getting bored so they'd get out by themselves. It is, frankly, impossible to win the map if you don't mind waiting. And you shouldn't have to wait in VSH.

So yeah, remove that map and the VSH server's perfect.

engies are mostly a waste of space that don't do much, it just so happens granary is their strongsuit map, in every map there's at least one spot where engineers can get really good positioning, it's just that engineers don't build there, granary's best spots are the most obvious ones. then again, you and me can get a piss-load worth of points with ease too, that's the thing when all the Hale's in this server are so bad. maybe if we introduce harder maps, people will adapt and get better at the game.

and i agree that dunger is a claustrophobic shitty map, and should be removed, maybe even replaced with granary.

i'm suggesting to implement changes, if you disagree (note "disagree", but disagrees show up as neutral and "dumb" shows up as negative, right?) then you should explain why, after all you want to contest the changes, and i would like to hear peoples opinions on it, not the below shit again:
