Warcraft. DOTA (the original) was a mod for Warcraft 3, and WoW is kind of a sequel to WC3

WC3 and WoW are just in the same universe, both are vastly different games with different stories going on though.

i can't get into DOTA 2 myself, haven't given it a chance really; playing DOTA 2 makes me long for LoL.
