15 players on Saxton Hale server, some guy from China or whatever has 500 ping and runs around like a maniac and nobody can hit him. He's been a major douchebag making your mom jokes and dick jokes. We voteban him. 3 people say no. Not enough votes. Are you kidding me? There's a 4:1 majority and the votes aren't enough?

I play a lot on your server and this has happened a lot - some wanker has high ping or spams dick jokes and how everybody sucks and camps in some unreachable place as engineer or is standing somewhere as Cloak 'n' Dagger spy or is doing votebans on other people who tried votebanning him (which are the only times where the system is great because people are just blindly pressing yes when they see "bypassing AFK manager").

So please guys, do something about the voteban system, it's seriously not worth the australium points time-reducement if it never works anyway.

First of all the problem you are having is easily solved with a votemute or even easier a client mute, why the actual fuck do you want to ban him when there's a much more easier and achieveable solution in the aforementioned way. This entire thread is useless and didn't even need to be here.

I provided some suggestions on how to make it not-as-abuseable. Making it perfectly non-abuseable means that it won't be useable either. It's a horrible circle. Or something.

on-topic: remove voteban with votekick, make it a bit easier to achieve to get rid of atrocious laggers, people that hide and aren't doing anything, and to kick griefers. those people just need to get kicked once to get the game going on, hackers and other infringements on the rules require more severe measures.

making it a number in the high 80's doesn't make it abusable though, the current 91% obviously doesn't work as well as it could.

Stopped reading where I quoted and I thought to myself that I can give an answer to what I felt. Then when he decided to reply with that I gave him another answer. But you can always go harass someone on vsh to make your feel better about yourself.

so you didn't read the post in it's entirety? because he addresses a different issue and you are giving a solution to a problem he isn't having.

the problem he was talking about ought to get fixed though.

i also don't count a back and forth squabble as harassment, but whatev

i don't understand where there isn't an AFK kicker, or some sort of system that automatically drains health and kills people after they stand still for too long, or don't do any damage.

Funnily enough, they appear to have an AFK kicker system on the normal servers, not on the VSH one though.
