Plain and simple. I created this poll because I had offered it, and he accepted the offer. This was also suggested by Lord Killington and Bottiger had agreed to his suggestion. Please dont rate me negatively D: *cough* Cinic *cough*

Admins/Mods/Skial decides when to end the poll.

Eh, I was going to lock the thread and only allow people to vote, but I guess that closes the poll. Please no discussion here about the ban, otherwise it will be deleted. Use the original thread.
 
Caught speedhacking, confirmed to be lying about the explanation: I vote for a ban.

Also, his own words from the reddit whining page: "Risen, the mod who banned me, has now commuted my sentence to 2 weeks ban, I'm going to press him to remove the ban. Then I might just tell them all to go to hell."

By the way Bottiger already stated what he would need to consider unbanning him here: http://www.skial.com/threads/request-for-unban.14440/page-5#post-147527 So I don't really know why are we voting here?
 
As a member of the community, I say yes. Hope that counts for something.

I'm going to say yes, he should be banned. Not necessarily for the unproven speedhack (seriously, this is why it's so fucking important to record a demo), but because he decided to rally up a shitstorm on Reddit over the issue.

I play on both Skial and Reddit servers. They're both great communities. No reason we shouldn't be able to get along because of this. All Sneak's actions on Reddit have managed to do is diminish our reputation on another community, and get a lot of extra misinformation spread around about Skial (now we've got a bunch of Redditors saying that you can buy admin on Skial and that you can buy unbans, because they aren't reading anything properly).

What good he thought he would gain by crying to Reddit is beyond me. I guess he just wanted to make a scene over it.

Honestly, there is absolutely nothing to confirm that he was speedhacking. No demo, no previous bans on his account, SMAC didn't detect him, and his story of a shitty wifi connection is perfectly valid (if true). This case was handled very poorly by everybody involved.

I explained many times why lag compensation will never make you run faster than someone else running with you.

I should start by saying that speedhack blocking was already enabled in past versions of SMAC for CS:S, DoD:S, and TF2. The only difference now is that it has a cvar and can work for all mods.

This was poorly handled by all. I shouldn't have talked to reddit, you guys should have used due process and not banned me when I did nothing wrong. Nobodies dress is white here. But I only wanted to play on Skial servers, you wanted to edit and control information on Reddit, bully me into admitting I was speedhacking, "whatever the fuck that means" and debate latency all day.

I still voted no, because I did have some experience with how someone speedhacks and how someone doesn't.
