Support: i figure i'm on friendly terms with some of the regulars on the vsh_ servers, loved by some and hated by some, comes with the playtime. lil'olespy said i should make an application a few weeks back, but i told him i wouldn't make a good admin*

Admin Experience: been an admin on the AA arena servers some time ago before the community split in two, i've retained my powers on the remnants called The Mighty DiCKS, which houses mostly american players.

Age: 20

Additional Information: *i'm not sure if i should be making this application because i do believe i have some qualities that could work against me. i can be pretty provocative at times, and i don't necessarily see eye to eye with other admins on some of the rules (if i were an admin for instance, i wouldn't enforce a ban for racism if i knew the context doesn't imply discrimination. for instance; "nigga please" wouldn't be racist in my book. i know where the line ends though.)

the european VSH server doesn't have any admin presence, and is plastered with people who do annoying shit (notably; votespam, and people going afk, hiding, two people that won't kill eachother, the odd hacker that decides to hack on a custom server), i'm making this thread here because it gets old. i'm active, i'm level headed, i'm literate, i can take the heat, and i feel i have good judgment. i've already made several reports of people who ruin the server, notified hackers to admins. i'll be glad to continue doing that if this application doesn't go through; but it's better to have admin presence on the server, instead of a middleman on the server feeding this information through admins directly; it's faster and less of a hassle to just have an admin on the server to deal with that shit directly, without having to wait for an admin to respond to your calls (although that one time where three admins responded to the barrage of /votereports was pretty comedic).

I love how everyone goes into total asskissing mode when they post an admin application.

Anyway, that's a -1 from me for lack of involvement in the community, as usual.
 
Please have people come from the server to vouch for you if you want to have a chance. I think we need more EU admins in general

i'll definitely ask, i'm afraid this is the part where i'll be lacking the most tbh; mostly because i think people really aren't arsed enough to bother signing up to these forums, most people i encounter on VSH EU are foreign thirteen year olds.

i could point out how an image macro (out of context no less) feels like a slap to the face considering i took my time to write my application; but i figured if i played it off with sarcasm (which isn't really asskissing either if you can grasp the notion i was getting at with my sarcasm to begin with) it would be way more eloquent and way less drama. i'm here to get my application validated, not get into a petty battle of words with an admin. i've already seen a small feud between admins on the forums, that's not the relationship you want to have with fellow admins.

also, what do you mean with lack of involvement with the community? i play daily and interact on the forums daily, is there some sort of undocumented post quota i have to achieve?

While being active and not stupid is a plus, you don't have a chance unless you build up trust. You're implying that there aren't retarded 13 year olds that play on the US servers. There are many. Just because it's YOUR opinion that we need an admin on that server more doesn't mean that the rest of the server gives a crap. Anyways, if Bottiger thinks we need more admins it'll be in the pile.

that's what i'm saying. what does trust mean if it's build upon a foundation of vouches i've acquired from the same kids that are probably opposed to anyone who can keep them in line? i really wouldn't hold my breath for vouches to come off the server, so i also figure the 'trust' has to come from elsewhere; which leaves the forum open.

No, that's just me. The majority of your posts have been in trade/ban-related threads, and I myself have no idea who you are.
I interact regularly with about 3 members of the community; I hardly know anyone else, therefore I wouldn't even consider an admin application until I'm sure everyone knew me and would support me being one of the faces people see when they have a problem on our servers.
In short, I myself don't want to see people waltz off a server and expect to be given the same level of trust on the forum. If you feel the people of EU2 would support you as an authority over them, feel free to ask them to come over here and voice it. But those are the requirements to make me happy, and if everyone else disagrees their support will outweigh my opinion.

Although I respect your composure and acceptance, I can't give you a +1 just yet.

Quite honestly, every post of yours I've stumbled upon has induced the reaction:
"Shit, guys. Intellectual badass over here." Seriously.
I don't know you at all, but I'd still vouch just because you seem like a bright guy.
 
while loved by some and hated by others, primus would make a good admin because he can be politically neutral when the situation arises and he wouldn't abuse his admin due to bias or the sorts, he has self control

I've been in the VSH server and can agree on it being subject to harsh votespamming against players for no reason other than trolling. The server does need an admin, and this guy clearly has a sufficient amount of connection time. The fact he as already helped contribute to the server gives him my vouch.

tbh I stopped reading at the racism part.


-a is not okay. It holds just as much negative connotation as -er. Not banning for any kind of derogatory racial term is perpetuating racism. The word "nigger" should be, and is viewed as racist as well as "nigga"...because really, what changes? Pronunciation? That's all. As far as I have seen, we have a 100% no racism rule. We don't distinguish between jovial or derogatory connotation and we shouldn't. Making excuses for racism isn't cool, yo.

tl;dr, -1 unless you can abide by the zero-tolerance for racism stuffs.

I gotta agree with this too, you can't decide wether you want to enforce a ban or not because they used it in a different context you have to abide by the zero tolerance policy for racism.
 
i don't tolerate racism. it's just that i think that "nigga" doesn't carry the same discriminative weight as "nigger". the former is just a more controversial "bro" if anything. with that in mind though, i do believe some people have problems with the term, and i would likely warn people unless they say something like "COMMUNISTIC NIGGER JEW GOOK CHINK-ASS BITCH WETBACKED BEANER HONKEY". i'm all up for second chances because i do know people don't think of "nigga" as something that is exclusively racist. in that case i would warn them about the term being frowned upon, and then act out proper punishment if they disregard what i've said and keep repeating themselves. i think that would be fair for people.
