anyone help with a problem i have on TF2?
it shows no servers and if i join a friends game it said "connection failed after 4 retries"
this has happened before and then it suddenly stopped?
 
damn, it wont let me backup game files becuz of a directory?
and i turned firewall off and didnt work soo i turned back on.
wish i could play TF2 :(

look at the other threads here on similiar problems and how to delete tf2 folder and restore..
 
Don't you have to add a port number if your not in europe for eu servers? Like eu2.skial.com:2020.

You do since it's not on the standard port. If it's happening with all servers then it's on your end. If it's only the one server, I would ask your friend to check his configuration. By default the server will setup to only be able to connect on the LAN it's on. If they're hosting it on a residential connection, then the outbound ports may be blocked by the ISP.

EDIT: Could also be your AV program blocking TF2. If you have another machine in your house I would try that.
 
You may need to open ports on your modem/router, which can easily be done by accessing portforwarding in your routers options. many newer routers have simplified drop menus for most popular games. Although i think this option is unlikely
