Adding Value of Paints to Hats?

It's a growing trend I've seen, people are selling hats and adding the paint value to the hats. I find it ridiculous, the only thing that should truly apply to is Bill's not something like a Genuine Anger or Genuine Killer Exclusive.

if you think the price should increase on Bills, then why not on other one time event hats such as certain genuines and such?

It just seems like a cheap way to get metal back. But I get your point.

To be fair, black paint is expensive. Even if you painted a Gibus black, expect to pay at least two keys on it.

Paints (some of them) are expensive and in my opinion it's completely justified that items painted with expensive paints are worth more than those that aren't painted. For example, if you are looking for a black G. Anger and pay 3 keys for it (which is a normal price for imo), you still get it cheaper than if you'd buy a non-painted Anger and black paint.

I don't really mind the prices on painted items. It's a lot cheaper than buying the paint and the hat individually now that white and black paints are 5-6 ref.
