help with updating

I have my own survival server with a couple of friends that i'm hosting, how do i update my server for 1.2? help would be appreciated! :]

Oh, i forgot to mention that i want to convert my my map, is there no way? the website says it's unavailable.

why do you have to convert the map?

you shouldn't have to convert anything. Just re-download the minecraft_server.jar or whatever you use.

There's not really any good way to do it. You can just use the same world and modify it to a 1.2 map using NBTedit or something similar. To get the new biomes you'll have to generate new chunks, this will mess up biomes though (snow in the desert for instance)

According to this it will auto convert to the Anvil format giving you 1.2 without having to make any modifications and screwing up biomes.

So just do what the website says and start up your server. (You'll still have to generate new chunks to get the new biomes though)
