I was gonna make a thread like this, but it seemed kinda like a gay idea.
I'd want Taco, Ruelel, and Genocide in my group :3
Geno kills stuff.
Taco for his ancient wisdom.
Ruelel because he's funny. He's the kinda guy who would go around killing the zombies with a giant dildo.

why wouldn't you want me? we could go around looting Macy's for shoes and bags all apocalypse long.

You were number 5
But I had to go by the L4D rules...

oh alright, but can i be the guy who the group Left 4 Dead who returns later on as a zombie which the group can't shoot down because of their conscience bothering them for leaving me to die in the first place? Then ruelel will say " its just zombie sinnx, he wont hurt anyone, can we keep him?" then as he saids that i get to eat his brain and only after I eat his brain does that give the rest of the group the motivation to finally shoot and kill me. then my soul comes out of the zombie and thanks you for finally putting me to rest and then i summon the power of heaven to smite every zombie in the world thus ending the apocalypse. as a reward, God brings me back to life and then it was Actually ruelel who was left 4 dead cause im back alive...........

I could write up a post so long on the subject of zompocalypse contingency plans that it'd make War and Peace look like a Dr Seuss book. I am an expert on the subject.

Here's the short version.

I'd take refuge in a Wal-Mart. Several reasons that make any Wal-Mart store an ideal location.
  • Large amounts of food and water to last any small to mid-sized survival party for a very long time
  • Plenty of clothing
  • All sorts of tools available from the hardware section
  • Most Wal-Mart stores sell firearms and have a large stock of various types of ammunition
  • The hunting section of Wal-Mart also has many different blades, such as machetes and smaller knives
  • In the event of an emergency evacuation, there are typically plenty of bicycles and backpacks, which allows for a speedy, silent (important that your transportation is quiet, so as not to attract the undead) getaway for multiple survivors at once
  • Once cleared out, the floor is wide open for optimal visibility of the entire store from front to back, as there are no permanently-erected walls
  • Walkie talkies are available in the camping section, so that you can keep various posts around the store
  • Sleeping bags, propane tanks, slow-burning wood, and various other camping supplies are all available to ensure a comfortable living environment
  • Most Wal-Mart stores are connected to a gas station, which can be broken into and gas can be siphoned out of the reserves for other uses (such as fueling a vehicle, powering a backup generator, or to be used for simple weaponry)
  • Entrances can be easily barricaded in the event of an attack
  • Many, many more reasons that I can get into if anybody wants to ask specifics
Seriously, I have thought this through. Many times. I've stayed awake in bed many a night, contemplating various scenarios and stronghold locations. The simplest and easiest to maintain is a Wal-Mart.

Now I know i'm not alone. However I would take power tools and resources from a nearby home depot then go to the closest grocery store. afterwards figure out a power generator to keep the perishables from rotting out too quickly. with the resources from the home depot, make a roof garden and plant seeds(also found at home depot). you only answered half the question though. Who would you take?

Well if possible i would just kick her outside or lock her up in a room
I see somebody hasn't been watching The Walking Dead. Storing away the newly-turned doesn't end well. Sure, they may starve off, but that can take weeks, even months to happen. All the while, you'll be hearing their unending attempts to get out. Also assuming that they don't manage to break out in the first place. Then once they escape into your stronghold, you'd better hope everybody is already awake, lest you now have a completely overrun fortress.

Once they turn, they're already dead, and you didn't kill them. Re-killing them is simply giving them a dignified death.
