It's coming to Austin, Tx this summer. Hopefully it will spread to Houston.

My state is trying to ban it.

Why?

Something to do with its unfair to other ISPs because Google fiber cost less.

I don't think a state can ban a company based on the fact it may put someone else out of business. However you can probably bet that if they want it gone badly enough, they will dig and dig until they find something they can stand on.

If we do that, lets just ban wal mart because they run local markets to the ground thanks to their "always lower prices".
