It just happened today, 2 hours ago. I've been uninstalling everything I installed today, but I can't quite find what's causing this virus. Ok, uninstalling might have not helped, but I still have this virus. I was told this was an advirus from kitty, but ehhhhhh........ I believe it gotten worse within an hour and went from 40% of the time bringing me to that website to about 60% to that website. I am not sure what I've done, or if I did anything.

I need some help with this ._.
I don't want to go to some porn finder when I just want to listen to music -.-"

But in all out seriousness, this is just getting annoying
- I didn't download anything porn related, but I had downloaded some stuff from pirate bay to play Cube World with Dashy and Avenger. Edit: Not only youtube now, but facebook too -.-

You got some sort of Malware or Virus. Run your security program to search and remove it.

Sure you didn't download porn, but you probably watched it :troll:

press start then search this notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and press enter
then see if there is anything that's like
youtube.com 208.88.180.129
and if there is then delete it and save the hosts file

I ran Microsoft Security Essentials Quick Scan, and a bit of full scan. It detected something and took care of it. After that (no restart), I still had it :C

He's being redirected to ADULTfriendfinder.com, not friendfinder.com. :D

Anyhow, solution suggested by Zebra is the most accurate. What OP is observing is a result of banal hijacking malware OP got while surfing unknown porn websites.

so the IP address would be different, big whoop

point is if youtube.com and facebook.com are in the HOSTS file, then removing the line would fix it.

I just rebooted my computer, and came back from like 2 hours of stuff I had to do. Still not working =/
Any other options?

  • first, run Spybot: Search & Destroy (linked in an earlier post) or Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware and do a full system scan
  • if the problem isn't quite fixed, then you need to look at your HOSTS file.
    • open the Run prompt, and run "notepad %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" and search for youtube.com and facebook.com.
    • if there are any results, clear that line
    • save
  • relaunch browsers

Spybot should fix your problem. Maybe you are not checking the boxes. Take a look here
http://www.safer-networking.ie/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Spybot2.png

You need to go through everything it detected and make sure it is checked.

If you did that than hit fix, than maybe you have something on your computer that is readding the hijacker. Do what Kincyros said and dowload Malwarebytes.
http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebyt...4572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button

Run a full scan. Make sure the detected malware is checked before you click remove. Once it is removed reboot your computer. Run spybot afterwards.

Has this been resolved yet, if not i may be able to help 1st off do you know if its an application causing it or is it a file that got infected like your hosts file? also try checking your chrome extensions and look for anything not made by Google ie "Third party installed"
