@Just_Something_Here the more you try to explain yourself, the more you confuse me.
Yes Microsoft probably collects sensible information from you, and as we said yes so does Google, Facebook, just about any website in which you type in anything more than your email.
Yes there are people on the Deep Net who, right now, probably have your name, phone number, email, social security number, address, CC numbers all logged and waiting to make a buck out of it.
But what are you going to do about it? Come to Skial and ridicule everyone for installing a FREE Windows upgrade, on the odd chance that they might "log" that you like at a specific zip code and that you searched for pasta so that Cortana might offer you a highly rated Italian restaurant close to you?
If you're so afraid of your personal information being collected, here's a tip: smash your modem and hide under your bed for the rest of your life

To this day, I am still baffled that this kind of thing is legal.

It shouldn't be, but unfortunately people pretty much downplay themselves because either they sell out or they already know they're getting logged and don't care about themselves enough to care is pretty depressing, but that's why people are idiots. Unfortunately that indirectly means I have to put up with shitty technologies such as cable boxes and telling people to not use Internet Explorer 8 on Windows xp and download Google Chrome for the best browsing experience on our new web page!

Just tell me two things:

1. Do you have kids?
2. What "sensitive personal" information in your opinion Microsoft may disclose about you?

1. Do you have kids?
2. What "sensitive personal" information in your opinion Microsoft may disclose about you?

1. If I did, I'd teach them how to not plaster your personal information online, unless you're a community manager for a relatively large company or something. So no.

2. Everything and anything they log. Porn history, search result history, keywords, etc. You're pretty much downplaying yourself when you say something like "I have nothing to hide" while at the exact same time, you're saying shit like you'd shoot me if I were to snoop in your home. Again, there's no difference except that the people who are snooping on you are bound by a contract that states they will do anything with your data and that I'd be a nobody who'd do anything with your data. But this has been going on since Windows 98, reason why people don't care is because it happens to idiots who stay boxed in like animals.

"I have nothing to hide" is hypocritical and pretty much makes me think most of you people are idiots. "If big companies can be hypocrites, then so can I!"

1. If you had kids you'd appreciate if Microsoft helped authorities bust some 30yo sexual predator who was chatting with your 12yo daughter.
2. Everything you said is stupid beyond belief (porn history, search history...). You have some serious phobia in your life, my friend. Sorry. It's just so stupid that I won't even address it. I hope some day you re-read all this BS you've just posted and be like "wtf was I thinking".

And not to upset you, but so far you're the one looking like an idiot :D

That works because those child molesters are fucking idiots. But what's to say that the NSA or Microsoft employees with enough authority aren't whacking themselves off towards your daughter in the shower?

Hell, there's proof of NSA workers who've been caught spying on their relatives and partners.

Would you trust Big Brother, senpai? :D

What the hell? NSA whacking off to people? What is this, Nazi Germany?

Look, NSA isn't HYDRA here. They're not collecting your sensitive data for some evil master-plan. I personally don't think it's right that some companies sell your online information for those obnoxious ads, but there are things far worse out there that I am glad they can at least check upon.

@Just_Something_Here Why the hell are you defending Linux, what does it matter? You use your OS, we'll use ours, what benefits are you receiving from posting your opinion that your OS is better than any other? No one cares. I love you man but seriously, no one cares.

So far, I got very little to complain about. It does a sound whenever I open a game, but other than that it runs pretty damn well.

My wife's laptop is having a weird bug when it stalls at POST when trying to get out of hibernation. I am yet to determine if it's Acer's BIOS (fucking Phoenix shit) or new SSD I've installed.
