Your OP made me legitimately think that CS:GO added some MLP wep skin or something. I was disappointed when I found out it was just that the crappy new movement sounds sound like a horse walking since I wanted to see bronies and anti-bronies go at each other like they did over the Magical Mercenary in the 2013 Scream Fortress update.

I don't think they really needed to change the footstep sounds but at least they are easier to identify now then before

I thought TF2 copied CSGO, not vice versa (in regards to different sounds for footsteps).
