In 2002 I saw a screenshot of BSD system's uptime which was ~3 years. It was not about cooling, - it was about proper system administration. I know that there is a saying "Linux admin gets laid off when his system gets down"

The thing is that is ridiculously expensive while buying 3 gallons of mineral oil is not.

There's a PC shop here that has had one of these things on display since 2007.

Hydrochloric alcohol is also a non-conductive liquid, iirc.
