Found an issue with vvis crashing and it seems like no one on the internet has encountered this error and was able to fix this.
Had a map that crashed on vvis saying "LoadPortals: reading portal 1268".
You can open the .prt file in a text editor. Go down to the line indicated by (portal number + 3), so in this example if the problem is portal 1268, go to line 1271. There will be four 3d coordinates you can jump to in hammer like this:
4 601 609 (4096 -2048 -64 ) (4096 -2048 512 ) (3072 -2048 512 ) (3072 -2048 -64 )
Just pick one to jump to and try to remake or delete the brushes around this area to fix the issue.
