So, I see a lot of people doing battles and spycrabs and such. I thought that it could be a good idea to have members of Skial vote on who could be trustworthy middlemen, and then have a list of them. Anyone could apply or something and if a lot of members know them/and or trust them, they would be put on the list of trustworthy Skial middlemen. Just an idea.

As far as I know, spycrabbing and other 'gambling' type activities are not officially sanctioned on Skial. It is participate at your own risk.
 
I read that thread but it hasn't been updated since January 2013. I just thought it'd be a good idea to have a simple list of middlemen that are voted by regular traders on the server. To middleman battles, raffles, etc.
 
If you see the top of said thread, it shows all staff who are viable in middlemanning and have been hired as a "middleman" for that very reason. Also, a vote wouldn't be the best idea because favoritism can't show an individual's trust. I feel if an individual has enough reputation through trusted trades and they are level-headed then they deserve a chance at that spot.

The only problem would be choosing who would become a Skial middleman. I think that if they're well known on the Skial trade servers and have done this kind of stuff before, then a vote wouldn't be an issue. People who want to apply as Skial middlemen can apply or something and then the community votes on whether they should get it or not. Kind of like an admin app. I also checked out the middleman app that Blade posted. The only people who are trusted middlemen are Mocha, Wrath, Xel'Naga, and Faron. And the application includes middlemaning actual money and non Steam items. I just thought it'd be a good idea to have Skial middlemen for the servers dealing with in-game items. Middlemaning for spycrabs, battles, etc. Nothing that involves money and such since it's just a big hassle and it takes forever.
