Will you get mad if you lose admin?:
Not at all.
How do you ban yourself using your own SteamID?:
sm_addban 30"#[U:1:23456789]" "Using aimbot"
Any other reason you should be admin:
As an active Turbine + 2FORT server player, I am very well-known with both servers' community.
I am a sensible individual who will strive the best I can to provide a great experience for players, as well as dealing with any complaints in an orderly, sensible manner that is fair for both parties. I am not a biased individual and I would like to give everyone a memorable visit to our servers, making sure they come back again.
On servers in the past, I have encountered many rule-breakers and violators, whom I have summoned multiple Votes on, majority of them being successful in order to keep the server happy and resume gaming.

Played with him on the server for multiple years, and one of the friendliest person I've met there.
I think he'd be a great choice for an admin position.

He's always hanging around turbine whenever I'm on. He seems like a pretty mature guy. And I think turbine would really benefit from having him on staff.

uh, have you heard of reporting? those, when valid, grant a way bigger punishment compared to votemenu votes

While the answer to this question is correct in that you can add a ban using that command, it doesn't have the same effect as "sm_ban <steam id> <time> <reason>".
sm_addban just adds a ban to the database, while sm_ban acts as a "kickban", removing a user from the server and placing a ban. sm_addban will let the user continue to play until disconnect.

That clears it up for me. Always room to learn more :)

There is a difference between reporting and calling a vote. A report would work eventually, but would take time and would not do anything in the server in current time. The person will still be in the server violating some protocols and there is very little you can do. I am not the person to sit back and watch someone ruin an entire servers' game-play. A vote, however, will deal with the issue instantly and cause no more harm to anyone else in the server. You can then report the person afterwards, which would add onto resolving the issue after calling a vote. So think of it as this:

- A report: effective but slow and time consuming by waiting for some sort of justice amongst that person,
- A vote: quick and simple with an instant punishment to either silence/remove that person. A report would then help afterwards.

Hope that makes sense.

As someone that does a toooon of reports (see on my profile, and those are just forum ones) I totally disagree. 95% of the times (or more) I just need to wait a few mins or sometimes even just seconds for justice.

First of all, well done for being an active team member and cracking down on reports given by the community. I am sure it is appreciated by everyone.
There is nothing wrong with reporting. I'm all for it. I encourage anyone violating the rules to report an individual. I personally feel that calling a vote to the server and announcing some sort of proof to back your point is a first, to deal with the issue yourself first and THEN report that person. If there is a cool down for that vote/a recently called vote did not pass, I will then prioritise reporting via the report function.

Hope that clears things up.

your first sentence makes 0 sense since I'm just a pleb like you

you do know that votes are always the same length, right? they do not escalate, as in people that break rules multiple times do NOT get increasing punishments (something that happens with reports) - and also the small amount of time they offer to ban someone/silence is just... sad.
with reports the minimum is what 1 day? max perma so... can't beat that with votes

will you prioritize reporting rlly? cz I see only 1 made by you for an aimbotter. 2+yrs ago so... can't rlly believe that

Thanks for the reply.

As I have said before, I call votes often and yes, I admit, have lacked using the report function. I will use it more in the future, alongside continuing to call votes.

Hope that's all :)
