1. Thanks for the reply, I haven't posted reports here since I have rarely run across someone that deserves that much time and effort, they aren't aimbotting, mostly just screaming out racist things or griefing other players. It was my understanding that reporting in game (using report) was for serial offenders or the worst of 'crimes' as I have only seen it used for people falsely calling hax, whereas a mute would be a first strike. If that didn't work, a short ban. The actual report function or posting in the forum being an escalation and grabbing an on par with that; someone who is causing long term grief or a major issue.. My previous experience, years past I will admit, that was more of the procedure. I shall make an effort to refine how I interact with that system and apologise for my ignorance of how you wish your servers run. I'd rather admit it and look bad than to try to hide it. Always more to learn.
2. - The first four chats( from the top down) are of someone continuously typing out vitriol against the player Svbtle and singling him out for attack. He was put up for vote to ban after using N words in his attacks, that vote failed to get the 90 I believe it needed which most would take as a warning, but they did not. After more abuse the mute was put up to vote, passed and then after the 30 was over, player proceeded to continue harassing other players in an overly toxic way. Said player then left in the middle of subsequent votes and there were no admins online to help.
- 2.03pm was someone asking what time it was, and I replied it was tool time (from the show Home Improvement.) 12.52am was me informing someone that the target of their chat rage had left the server already and they were shouting at nobody.
- 12.26 I run the furry title in the server as well as the houndkomft on my medic and someone was asking about "who the fucking furry was?" So I typed that in so they could see the tag instead of just hear me in voice chat. Similar to when others are accused of being "try hards" then post in the chat to show off the 'tryhard' title.
- 6.36 I believe someone had just attacked an engineer then died with his ragdoll going ballistic. The "get a load of this guy cam'" being a reference to Wayne's World
- last silence I believe was someone screaming about how awful his entire team was and that his medic should burn in hell, but to be fair I do not recall as it was early.
3. sm_ban "#[U:1:32765859]" 30 "Obvious aimbot"
I do understand the difference between personally muting someone and the times that someone is being toxic to everyone resulting in the mute hammer from previous admin experience on the FISH servers years ago. If in the now seemingly unlikely event I become an admin here on this request, I will make an effort to note down such votes, names, and why so that I can answer these questions better if need be. Hope this helps clarify a bit or at the very least doesn't make things worse. Either way I thank you for what you do.
