    Yeaaaaaaaaa all aboard the gains trains!

    So basically, just post how much you bench, squat, curl, what protein you take, creatine or whateva hateva related to gains.

    So I'll start. I started lifting seriously, I go about every other day, around November of last year (2014). I have lifted before but it was mostly machine stuff, and every other weekend, nothing too serious. I take creatine every night. Drink powdered protein shakes after working out at the gym, boxing or swim practice. I try to maintain a good diet with enough in-take. I used to eat every 3 hours, maybe a little protein bar, banana, or premade shake between meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) but I have slacked off with the between-meal foods.

    Okay.
    I am currently capable of doing 33 push-ups at max.
    70 stomach crunches.
    Have ran a 5:50 mile as my best record.

    I haven't lifted in like 4 yrs. Back in high school I could press 135lbs, squat 220lbs, and curl 130lbs, which for a spindly-ass white guy surprised a lot of people. I never took protein supplements since they cost money and I was still improving without them.

    We're maxing now in my high school football team.
    I weigh 185, bench 245, squat 315, and power clean 235. Run a 4.99 40 yard dash.
    Don't take anything, but my coach wants me to. That's all after about 2 years of serious lifting/plyometrics.

    Max squat 225, but haven't maxxed since my acl replacement.

    yea, you should keep the squats light for a while to be not damage it. How long ago did you replace your ACL?

    Few years. after 6 mos of rehab, it took a long time to get back to where I was before. I crept up to 215 recently, but didn't want to chance it any further.

    I dont like supplements and other "muscle boosters". It doesnt feel fair, and I feel that I should be able to do something on my own without the aid of some powder. I dont like to be dependent on anything. I can do 75+ curl ups and 25 push ups, 40 when I actually practiced

    Steam:

    Well the good thing about creatine and whey protein is that it helps recover the muscles after a workout and basically help the muscles repair stronger and quicker than normal. When you workout with weights, your essentially just breaking down your muscles so that they repair stronger.

    I do agree with you on the idea of some other supplements out there that are being sold in nutrition stores that are just unnecessary. I try to stay away from a pre-workout since I don't see much that comes out of it. I just get pumped on my own.

    Ex Cross Country / Track & Field runner. Now powerlifter, general wellness athlete and Navy Sailor.

    Before: ~118lbs.
    After: ~145-150 (Jumping around there)


    Deadlift: (Sumo) 405 / (Conventional) 375
    Squat: 335lbs (Low Bar for those who aren't ignorant)

    Bench: 235lbs
    Overhead: Never attempted 1rm, can get about 3 or 4 with 135 strict.
