Skial bypassing game settings?

every time I enter a server of skials an ad plays, but this is odd as I have cl_disablehtmlmods set to 1, so either skial is bypassing settings, or tf2 is officially broken yet again. we may never know.

well, has it not been like this before?

also, the reason they do this (if it is bypassing settings) is because they can't run simply off donations. considering all the slots they have for servers + the amount of them, that costs extra to maintain more than likely. they need your support, even if you don't watch the ad, just to keep affording the servers.

yes. on skial servers my fps not constant 240, they are always changing from 80-100. On LAN server I have 240...

We are not bypassing anything. We cannot bypass client settings, we can only over ride server settings such as crit spread, max players, respawn time etc. We cannot change your sensitivity, fov, crosshair etc.

If anything we could detect you have HTML MOTD disabled and kick you until you enable it, but we don't. You should consider enabling it. Servers aren't free but you are playing on them for free. MOTD ad helps us pay for the server.

Your fps is bound to plummet when there are other people on the server.
