- Allow bets for your own team only. Reason for this is because if someone bets on the opposite team they will not try to help their own team so they have a greater chance at winning the bet.
-(vsh only) If hale is slayed, bets are cancelled and refunded. (I would suggest adding this only if the one above get accepted too).

Unless there is a specific time at round start to bet and teams are locked afterwards, I don't think there is a way to enforce only betting on your team although I understand your point.
Although I suppose if bets were technically placed on oneself and the team's winning applied to all those on the team, it could work, but that might still lead to a lot of team flip-flopping

It makes no sense that you're able to bet on either side, honestly.
You're exactly right that it encourages you to not try, friendly or grief.
As @Reedgreat has said, this has happened first hand in Jailbreak.

If the round was ended by a slay/suicide, bets should be refunded.
