For the past month+ I've found myself constantly drawn to Skial and quite often refreshing the Skial website. Crazy, huh. The reason is, I find myself at home here; Skial is the first community on any game that has clicked with me.
Here's a little about myself! I am currently 16 [birthday was February!] and am in high school. During my free time I enjoy playing Team Fortress 2 and the occasional Civ5 game. Before January of this year, I was Assistant Head Moderator for Tap4Fun [check them out here]. I left their moderator team after a year and a half due to my moving across the coasts and not being able to take care of my numerous servers in that time. My role in that mod team consisted of overseeing, training, supporting and mediating 10+ Lead Mod's, 40+ Mod's and 10 something servers. Despite this not being a Source admin role, I learned a lot in my time there about moderating and positively reinforcing the rules without going overboard and whacking everyone with a ban hammer [I haven't I promise hehe].
My initial Admin App was a bit strange, yeah. Barely any play time. Honestly I dunno why I even posted it. Hind sight is beautiful huh? But because I did post it, I received such a positive response to such a ridiculous app. And because I received such a response, I decided to truly stay at Skial.
My main server [don't laugh I quite like it lol], is pl_Goldrush NY. I've also spent a fair bit of time on Degroot Keep, Harvest NY, 2Fort+ [found out just how bad I was at scout], Hightower and Upward {cannot seem to be able to redo the server selections so I can't list them precisely :-( sorry}. I intend to keep on going back to those servers on a regular basis. Goldrush [at least in my timezone] hasn't seen many Admins on it and as a result it gets a bit wild sometimes. I hope I can change that!
