Seems like a good idea, it would have to be added to the chat spammer too though. !record might give people the wrong idea though, maybe someone can come up with another name.
 
i was about to make a thread about why replays arent enabled but is !record a similar thing?

(i thought it would be good to add that i have read the thread on why replays arent enabled on our servers (crashes etc) but thought maybe since its been a few months since the last post in that thread things may have changed)

Have not really seen any stability changes. It still takes up a slot that could be used for donor reserve and it adds load to the server resources.

recorded demos don't have the same flashy frame by frame rate as replays, but they capture everything on your end(including your lag) from start to finish.
 
Since this looks implemented, I may work on a hosting page just for TF2 demos for reports.
 
Figured I'd update you on this.

I do have the beginnings of a hosting site up. It's not giving correct links, though. Bottiger has figured out what the issue is; now I need to figure out how to fix it.
