I used to, and still plays regulary on your TF2 servers. The main problem I've always had with your servers is that they are constantly slightly laggy. At least to me, and a bunch of my friends who also plays on there at times. I saw a post about stuff like this on another TF2 forum and the issue is that you need to reload the map or restart the server once a day. Have it restart at 04.00 (CET) every day, and reload the map every 90 minutes or something. The server I am specificly playing on all the time and got these feelings about is the "skial.com | BADLANDS | EU" one (IP 94.23.226.200:2035).
Lethal-Zone's MGE server had the same problem, and after people started complaining on their forums about this problem keeping them away from playing on it, they applied the two settings i mentioned, and the MGE server is now back and fully populated. Please, make your servers restart once a day or reload the map every 90 minutes. The server will start to lag when the scores are 30-42 for RED and BLU... It would help so much. Thank you.

Restarting / reloading would probably make people mad and they'd just change servers.

Just reload the same map? You could make the server say in chat "RELOADING MAP" or something. So people would know the server didnt change map or something

It's a bit tedious for players to have to wait thirty seconds or so to have the map reload for them.
This would fix a lot of lag issues, but it may not be worth putting players through the nuisance.

I think restarting the servers around 2-3 am LOCAL TIME won't hurt a lot. I might be wrong though since I don't know the attendance statistics. I'm pretty sure though that each server has its own time frame where it's not populated with players - this time frame could be used to reboot the box.

I personally noticed some lagging as well.

I've played on 2Fort US22 when the score was like 120 Blu, and 122 Red. No lag.
Don't really see a problem.

Ah yeah my bad about the local time zones. Obviously it would be at 2-3-4 am at the LOCAL time zones. Even if some of you don't feel like there is lag, would it really hurt that bad to have the map restart every now and then?

Personally, I don't really care, but some people who probably get mad.
Like those working on their AP points, and the people who just stay on servers for 8 hours to brag about their impressive score.

@ DeadHerald

I got i7 @ 2.92 gHz, 8GB ram, radeon 6870. And i still use a FPS config. I'm pretty sure my PC is not the problem.

I have known about this problem for 2 years already since our first server was an idle server.

All our servers reload the map every 2 days.

@ CreepingDeath
To be honest, I don't know about those settings of mine. All i know is that the lag is very noticeable on the skial servers compared to other pub servers. Very.

@ Bottiger
Allright, thanks for the answer. But since it's still laggy to many, do you think it could be possible to do it once a day instead of once every 2 days?

I don't want to do it more than once every 2 days because it kills the server population.

Every 2 days should be enough to avoid uptime lag.

You can't blame our servers when it might be your ISP or your network configuration. Possibly your ISP's routing tables are fucked up.

it certainly isn't the servers; I have low ping time when connected to Skial servers compared to most, if not all, other TF2 servers I've been on
