The no healing function "in boss rooms" was added to encourage teamwork. You need to be able to coordinate with players who carrying the healing items now.

Healing still works anywhere else on the map exempt boss rooms

Edit: I mean healing with medics and dispensers still works anywhere else on the map

yeah but everyone hate's that mechanic, no one wanted that mechanic, and its an easy way to wipe your team out, also do you really expect the humans to use it more often, why not remove engi's and medics on that map because they are now useless, you are basically saying that the 2 classes that are important and can save a teammate that they are useless in that map, maybe lower the amount of healing that they give on that map but not absolutly to 0, what did you think the playerbase was gonna say, there are people that says thats kinda a bit much

sure the added attacks that santa can do is cool in all, but if you have one or more troll's on your team that don't use the healing items on purpose then your team gets wrecked, you should of thought about that before making the change first, like how would the playerbase react and how often would they play santassasination after this change, also are you sure thats in boss rooms because i heard that healing was not allowed no matter where you were on the map, look listen to the community and see what they think instead of just saying lets just put that in there

Well, we just did a santa run on ZE EU and I didn't hear a single complain about the change
We only had 1 healing item with us, and it went fine as you can see in the video.

Good teams will already coordinate and inexperienced teams will be even more unlikely to make it past Act 1. Santassination was already a long, challenging map that required a host of competent teammates to beat, but with this change, people are giving up after being decimated in the beaver room.

Kinda hard to git gud when the team's depends entirely on whoever picks up heal. You have to hope that:
An experienced player gets one
New players pick it up and listen when experienced players tell them to either drop it or use it correctly
A griefer doesn't get it to waste/withhold
