Question about vintage items

In tf2 there are a lot of vintage items, but whats different about them?

Also, Vintage items are more valuable since more will not come.

Vintage items were crafted at the time that they were new, and later updated to be Vintage. There is no difference in function, but Vintage items are higher in value.

I've seen people with a V.V. Tyrolean named "Vintage Vintage Vintage Vintage Vintage Vintage Vintage Vintage Tyrolean".

Vintage items don't really mean anything.
Even thou I have a couple Vintage hats.
