Some people have been complaining that our servers are broken because they can't randomly change loadouts.
All you have to do to fix this is reconnect to the server.
Steam's item servers have been going up and down every day, particularly around 12-6 PM Eastern since summer vacation started. All tf2 servers will try to automatically reconnect when this happens.
But if you are on the server when it loses connection to Steam, you will be unable to switch loadouts until you reconnect to the server.
That's why if you connect to another server like casual, you will see the item server is up and wrongfully blame us. Because by the time you connected to the other server, they reconnected back to Steam or the Steam server they happened to connect with never went down in the first place.
