Ping Drops

Recently, on map achievement_idle_awesomebox_13b, there have been ping drops. It happens from time to time.
Is there any way to fix this?

I assume by ping drops he's talking about packet loss, not going from like 40 ms to 20 ms

Edit: possibly packet loss, obv could be a number of other issues

This is what the host said. We can't really do anything about it except switch hosts. But these attacks are temporary and usually don't last long.

We have seen many more attacks yesterday and today against various customers in Chicago that our system has needed to mitigate. We are continuing to work with one of our upstreams on a significant capacity increase. The groundwork has been laid for this and we're mostly waiting for them to finish provisioning the circuit. We stand ready to upgrade additional upstreams, if necessary, to ensure that the Chicago location has enough capacity to absorb nearly all attacks without them impacting customers.
