Hey there.

So, I suck with technology and have a problem.

My antivirus (Bitdefender) has an error that will not let me manually scan and only allows auto-scans.

I do not want a new antivirus, other than this singular problem, this one works fine.

Whenever I try to fix the issue, it fails.

I tried google, it didnt help.

Are you using windows or mac? I had McAfee on my computer but I couldn't scan with a other software, it would only let me scan on McAfee.

Ah, forgot those.

I am using windows XP, I tried restarting, updating to latest version, manually disabling + enabling.

Currently running 4.0.29

Not sure if it is related but I disabled Software Protection service and did a "repair" install restarted the computer and was good to go now."
