Help Me! [ITUNES, IOS6] How do I make a mp3 my text tone

Is it possible to make this Mp3 my text tone? I cant seem to find out how

I just yanked a youtube video and isolated that bit with audacity. Here.

Look into clipconvert, audacity, and cloudconvert. They're your friends in these situations.

By "text tone" you mean the "text message received" noise your phone gives off?

Because that differs from phone to phone, man. Hell, a lot of phones don't even have that option.

Iphone 4, IOS 6

iphone mp3 is a little more difficult

1. clip it down to what you want to hear with audacity or download the tone you want
2. open itunes with your phone connected and click tones on the right

3. Drag your tones into itunes
4. open iphone in itunes and click tones at the top, select your sync options and they should appear on your phone

open iTunes prefs > General and you should see a lot of checkboxes, make sure 'tones' is checked

When I drop the MP3 into tones,it just goes into music. By the way, the tone is 3 seconds long

you have to have the tones tab open and drag them into there

thats what im doing, its open and empty. I drag it there, it doesnt appear there. but if I go to the music tab, its uploading there
