So a few days ago I had a little experiment. I called three votemutes on myself while neither talking or typing. Even though I had no reason to be muted, all three times I was. The requirement was barely met each time, with 67, 69, and 67% during the three votemutes. I have come to the conclusion that people vote yes just for the sake of voting yes...

I propose increasing the 65% requirement to 75%, so innocent people don't get muted for no reason. Even though people will still probably vote yes just because, it will be harder for the person doing nothing to be muted. And if someone is actually breaking the rules, it is still a reasonably percentage to get him/her muted.

I bet almost everyone here has been muted by either a butthurt player, or just a dick thinking it would be funny to mute someone. Vote abuse is hard to fight, but this could help solve the problem.

Yes, true.
But, there are always 2 sides of an argument.
It could be BETTER for admins to not have to deal with vote menu griefiers

You act as if people still aren't going to spam call votes for no reason if the vote is higher. The problem will remain constant regardless if it's 2% or 100%, people are dicks and giving everyone the option of using it means it will be abused - I don't want my ability to personally initiate and pass votes against blatant micspamming idiots to be removed simply because a few wrong people get muted every now and again. The current percentage is perfectly reasonable.

there is more micspammers and griefers than vote abuse like i said would make a bigger problem trying to fix a smaller problem

-1.
First off, Antamania is right.
Secondly, what Nacasius said.
Thirdly, why all votes passed on you is because for YES it asks to hit "4" and for NO it asks to hit "5". When people are in the middle of the fight and they want to switch a weapon and fucking vote prevents them from achieving it - they hit the first close button, which is usually "4".

I might be wrong, but I believe that votemute required level was higher initially - it was decreased for a purpose.

So, no.

That is why admins exist.

EDIT: Fuck it, I'll explain. Admins exist to jump in when system can't handle the issue. If system can handle mic spammers, why would we bother admins to waste their time?
Come on, kiddo.

In the extremely rare case that 75% of the server DOESN'T vote Yes(I've accidentally called a mute on the wrong person and it's passed with 90% before), it's worthwile calling an admin.
