My dog decided to eat the mic off my headset today. RIP Steel Series Siberian headset.

Anyways, I'm just looking for a decent pair of headphones that'll last a while. I'm not really looking for anything special, just good stuff to listen to music with and play games. I've decided a headset is a bad idea if my dog is just going to eat it again.

I have these, but they're really uncomfortable and make a loud creaking noise whenever I move.

These are the headphones I've looked into so far, but I'm not really sure if any of these are a good pick.

i have Sennheiser HD 598 and they're great

they're only 50 ohms which means they don't get too much benefit from an amp + dac combo (which is good if you're on a budget though)

read this thread if you want to know more about amps and stuff like that

edit: i also got a cheap-ass speedlink clip-on mic when i got my headphones and it has served me well enough

open headphones are great for gaming, but keep in mind that open back = no isolation, so you can hear things in the background easily and people near by can hear all the sound coming out of your headphones
