How good should I get before starting lobbies?
I have almost 500 hours in TF2, with about 90 hours as my main class, soldier. I want to get better, but I'm afraid of joining a lobby and getting laughed off the team for being bad. My dm is decent, I think, but it's difficult to tell because I don't know of an objective standard of dm skill that I can judge myself by. I almost always have a positive k/d radio in skial pubs, but I don't know if that means anything.
TL;DR - How do I know if I'm good enough to lobby without being a detriment to my team?
