If you don't know what I mean. Basically if i get !reported I will not see the votereport in the chat

I think this will prevent the reported from stopping what he/she is doing because they got reported,
resulting in them being dealt with and not wasting the admin's time

only a small chunk of admins warn before banning/gagging
You know, at the end of the day, we don't want to 'catch people out' we want to stop players being asses to other players and wrecking the game, our last resort is banning. But I do speak for myself, other admins may see it differently, but we are all looking to have an enjoyable game. Maybe your right, and maybe having a stealth operation might cause less grief for people. I know one thing, admins that aren't clear about warning people will spend more of their own time explaining their actions or arguing on appeals, so I suppose it's swings and roundabouts really. This is why I believe implementing something like this wouldn't save admin any time.
As I said, carry on making your case, maybe something will come from it.

"The average human only uses a small percentage of it's brain (around 12%)"

Don't rly see why these statements wil help this suggestion forward...
It was said in the course of a discussion.

It depends on the situation whether I warn or not, if I warn
'run into' a griefer or party, I'll use /csay /slay or /kick first and will ban afterwards when they continue. When a report gets passed to the forum and the griefer is still continuing, I ban without warning. The report that showed up was a warning on itself and people want to see action taken when they pass a report.

So I'm not supporting the suggestion, eventually another report on him will come in when he continues griefing if the admin quits.

I propose that the chat dialog be hidden from players being reported against in-game.

i.e: "Weighted Storage Cube #32565 wants to report (player) for: Greifing . Type !votereport to pass this report."

I am suggesting that the above dialoge gets hidden from the player [in this case, (player)], so that when an admin moves into the server, they can take approiate action against (player).

I also suggest, that the chat dialog gets changed to say Type /votereport to pass this report

Instead of

Type !votereport to pass this report.

Edit: My thread has been merged with Pinker-Tan's thread. From above this post, was original postings from the original OP's thread.

+1 this seems like a good idea for a couple reasons. Being anonymous on the server encourages people to report more often as they won't get berated for it. It also prevents the player who is breaking the rules from stopping before an admin comes in. A lot of times when the asshat can see that a report is filed, they only stop for a few minutes before starting up again. I support efforts that encourage people to report when someone is violating the rules and that also make it more likely for the admin to actually see what's happening. This is a good idea, regardless of the fact that it's been suggested before.
