Legendary Mapper
I've been using awesomebox9 teaching myself how to modify/create maps. My progress has been going well in my standards but I've come into an issue.

I don't know how to compile the map's custom textures into the .BSP file; awesomebox9 has its custom textures stored in the BSP file, but I cannot find out how to do it for my own project. Having the custom assets in the tf directory Ihave no missing textures in-game; but removing them from the tf directory results in missing textures. I then loaded the default awesomebox9 and as I thought, its not missing textures. I wish to know how to do this in case I publish my own maps later on

Assistance would be appreciated.

You need to use a program such as PakRat or VIDE. You must embed any custom content into the .bsp. If you have any questions about using them I can help since I use it it all the time when editing deathrun maps.

Just a tip I personally use vide now, I find pakrat can miss some things out because it hasn't been updated for ages.
