Help Headset Problems

I got these turtle beaches x31s and I thought they were backwards compatible with my Mac...So anyway I got a 3.5 audio jack connecting the audio wirelessly which I had to strip from a old Pc down in my basement...Now I need to fix the Microphone because it doesnt work...I tried plugging my controller in USB and connecting the audio jack with the controller and headphones but my Mac still isnt showing its in. I dont know if theres a easier way or I need to install some kind of driver please help so I dont have to send these back!

Sadly, if drivers don't exist for the Mac then it won't work at all for the mac, I found out the hard way back when I had a macbook.

Have you tried using the adapter they sell on the site?
