Good community servers DO exist. The problem is that they're all empty.
From GSHOCK to TF2APP to Skial, there are PLENTY of vanilla, pub-like community servers out there. The problem, of course, is that nobody's playing on them- and because nobody's playing on them, nobody WANTS to play on them, because nobody wants to play on an empty server.

A server filling up is rare, and it's usually because of pure dumb luck that a bunch of people found it at the same time and thought, "yeah, why not, I'll stand around for a bit and see if people join."

[](/twicrazy) Which means you all can stop making more servers, because it's going to just make more EMPTY servers.

The beauty of Quickplay and Valve pubs is that it shunted you and a bunch of other people onto an empty server to fill it up, and that EVERY TF2 PLAYER ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET knew about them and had access to them with the press of a button. In comparison, these community servers sit in a sea of x10, Saxton Hale, community MVM, prop hunt, et cetera et cetera servers, so you need to actively look around on the browser- or worse, the Internet at large- to find them, and when you do, they're completely empty, not a player in sight- or if they do have players, they're all bots.

If Volvo is going to rely on community servers, they need to bring Quickplay back and have it shunt players into empty community servers.
