You should triple check it yourself and carefully read again how everything goes together. Does the CPU socket match the motherboard? How do the benchmarks for the GPU and CPU look for that price bracket? Does the PSU have enough power / what energy certification does it have? Does the GPU have a port for the monitor you want to purchase? Does the PC case form factor match the motherboard? Does my motherboard have enough connections / the right IO ports/

https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/wiki/beginnersguide

These are all questions you should be asking yourself.
If you're really not sure, that subreddit is a really good place to ask questions, as it's a lot more active than here.

You should get an external drive instead if you think you will need to use CDs.

Do not buy a razer keyboard, they're not quality for the price. Just really good marketing.
/r/mechanicalkeyboards is that way.

Also check and make sure that you buy a PC monitor, not a tv.
Thanks for the links btw. I'll read them and double check when I get time later.

I'd wait to get ram, because ram prices suck right now.
The case I put in the build doesn't support optical drives, but if you need one you can get an external one.
And yes, everything is compatible.
I appreciate the build and all but my budget is $600-$750. Like I wanna get a good pc but spend as little as possible to get a good one. Like I said about it was $700-$800 but I'll gladly spend less for a pc just as good.

I can make a cheaper one, is the SSD necessary?

For now you should buy a 1050ti + Ryzen 5 1600, and in the future upgrade it with a 1060 6gb and maybe a SSD, what do you think?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xnj2hq This is the old parts list I had posted before. It has a 1050ti but has a AMD - FX-8350 processor. I just wanted some more input to see if this build was 100% compatible. It's at $610 now because mail in rebates. Should I just buy the parts slowly to get the cheapest price for each? It was like $770 the other day and now its $610.

If you see a good deal, then yes, buy it (https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/ this might be very useful). I saw your old build, and since there's ryzen now, there's no point in buying fx processors. The stock cooler is good if you aren't going to do heavy overclocking.

If you want a SSD, this one is great: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zc8Zxr/a-data-internal-hard-drive-asp600s3128gmc

Didn't really think this was a whole thread worthy question so what OS should I get? My friend keeps saying 7. Which to me looks like complete shit. I liked windows 8.1 butI want to stay up to date. $120 for windows 10 and $210 for windows 10 pro. I'm definitely not paying that much.

Some games don't work on Windows 10, anything which used Windows Live is broken like GTA IV.

Also Windows 10 has a lot of crapware like Cortana etc... and although they don't affect performance much, when all the programs are running it can take up a portion of your CPU.

Lastly, if you're paranoid about the NSA seeing what you've got stored on your computer, then Windows 10 is not the OS for you because it sends a lot of information about your computer to Microsoft. Lol.

I use Windows 10, my core is i5, and it works fine for me apart from not being able to run GTA IV.

I removed Cortana on my last laptop with Windows 10. I just don't want to be stuck in the stone age with an old OS. I'll just go with 8.1 I suppose

If I had to choose between 8.1 and 10 I'd personally go with 10 because it feels a lot more like 7, but I think you said you prefer 8.1 so go with what you prefer! :P

8.1 is at least less garbage than the original 8.

I only have 10 because I couldn't get 7 however but it works fine like I said.

Like I would go with 10 since its newer but it costs more (unless I get the torrent) but either way I'll just go with 8.1. Still gotta look at the prices anyway

Personally I really think you would be better with Windows 10, I'm interested to know if there's any reasons you prefer 8.1, other than the price? Do you use Discord, or would you message me on Steam? Interested in having a conversation - forum replies aren't the best method.

I use both Discord and Steam to message people. Would be no different either way. I'm almost always on Steam so I could talk to you on there.

Windows 10 and 7 are both great. You don't have to spend that much for windows 10 actually. https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 download it here (for free), then if you want (it's not required) find a key on ebay for like $5. Very cheap. Also you can disable windows 10 privacy stuff and cortana.

Thanks. I was on that exact page earlier but as I had stated in some of the comments above I'm not totally oblivious as of what I need it's just the physical items I'm not sure of as this is my first build. So I was unsure if that was actually a full version or what.

The only difference is that "Personalization" is disabled (however you can still change wallpaper). And yes, you can update the os, and you can use use it forever. You'll need one USB flash drive to install it, it's not difficult (
)

Thanks. I'll watch the vid when I have some time later.
