We are seeing a large number of DDoS attacks in Dallas right now, against many different customers (the attacker seems to be hitting IP addresses indiscriminately). We are working to mitigate these attacks. When an attack occurs, and until the target is null-routed, clients accessing your service in Dallas will notice packet loss.
Update @ 5:04pm CDT: The attacks have continued, and all of them have been large enough that Internap's network is being taken down in Dallas. We are working with Internap to try to get upstream filters applied.
Update @ 5:42pm CDT: The attacks continue. Trying to get upstreams to apply emergency filters takes time and escalation; Internap is doing its best to work on a resolution.
Update @ 6:36pm CDT: Internap has gotten at least two upstreams to apply filters, that should take effect shortly. It also appears that the attacks have stopped for now. We are continuing to monitor and will stay on top of this, adjusting as necessary to minimize impact.
