For starters, I'd just like to know why I was banned.
An account on 173.162.41.245 was banned by SMAC for aimbotting.
Then two minutes later another account was banned for connecting with that IP.
Then sixteen hours later you were banned for connecting with that IP.

I don't think I would have asked why I was banned if I knew I was aimbotting.
An IP ban bans anyone connected to the same Wi-Fi network, correct?

So, by my logic, it may have been my little brother that got me banned. The only alt I have has 0 hours in TF2, so I am confident I wasn't the one who got banned earlier. My little brother does use an aimbot though, and as much as it pisses me off, I can't do anything about it. I can link his account; I am willing to bet he was the original banned account.

At the moment, however, my argument is completely based of trust. If there is any way to prove any of this let me know and I'll do it.

Actually, I was wrong.

The original ban was my friend. He was on an alt trolling in servers.
The second was my brother, who aimbots also but that is besides the point. They may have been botting/playing together judging by the time margin between bans.
I was the latter, 16 hours after them. I simply connected to the server on the same Wi-Fi after they got banned by SMAC, and I received the same punishment.

There were seven accounts banned while connected to that IP because it is a public network...my school's to be more precise. It is the "Staff" internet though (to be honest the password is simple), I can sort out the cheaters that I know of from the rest.

http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198387894475 -- The original (BOT)
http://steamcommunity.com/id/reelmight/ -- My little brother (BOT)
http://steamcommunity.com/id/badattf2xd/ -- Me (CLEAN)
http://steamcommunity.com/id/lightningboltnigga/ -- The original's alt (BOT)
http://steamcommunity.com/id/samjaws04/ -- The originals friend ... I believe the original uses this account from time to time, but as far as I know its clean (CLEAN/BOT?)
http://steamcommunity.com/id/anthony123459/ -- " " (CLEAN/BOT?)
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198191195391 -- (CLEAN/BOT?)

The last three are friends of the original, which makes sense as to why they'd also know the Staff Wi-Fi password, but I am not certain that they use an aim assist as well. If Skial records STVs on their servers you could probably tell.
I am also "the originals friend" but I do not bot, nor do I endorse aimbots. If any solid proof is required I'd be happy to supply it, whether it supports all of my claims or just relieves me of my ban (ex. a POV from one of my competitive matches/scrims) by showing that I do not cheat.

Really suspicious that you changed the story...
Because your brother hacked, you are banned as well. There is nothing you can do, sorry. Rules are rules.

I changed my story because I searched the IPs in the banlist and actually saw who was banned...at first I was just speculating.

So since someone cheated on school wifi everyone else is punished? How was I supposed to control that and/or how am I at fault for it?

Is there even a way to successfully appeal here?

I'd assume there would be if appealing is an available option but it doesn't seem possible at this point. If there is any form of evidence that would change your mind I will try and provide it (ex. agreement to my story from others that were banned with this IP)

You're responsible for making sure that your network is clean and/or not connecting to a network where you cannot be sure.
We cannot verify the origin of who hacked, therefore to prevent any further chances that someone might hack - we keep you banned.
Your ban will not be removed because we keep the servers as hacker-free as possible and your network has shown that it will not do that.
